Chase was discharged from the hospital yesterday!!!
We are so excited!!! He had such a wonderful long weekend and was eating so well that they decided there was no reason to keep him there any longer! So around 3:00 PM yesterday, we left MUSC and brought our sweet boy home! What an answer to prayer! God is so good! We are so very blessed and grateful that Chase did so well and was able to come home exactly 5 weeks after birth -- exactly 4 weeks after his Norwood surgery!
My mom was driving down to see us yesterday and we wanted to surprise her by having Chase here at the house when she got here, so I didn't update the blog, Facebook or Twitter until now so that we could keep our little surprise a secret. But I'm ready to shout it from the rooftops now!!!
We have some follow-up appointments next week with ENT and speech therapy (swallow study), but we will finally be able to head home afterward! This means we'll be home for Christmas! Praise the Lord! I can't wait to get home, decorate for Christmas, and enjoy our new family of four!
Stay tuned for some new pics of our sweet boy soon!
Thank you to all of you for your constant prayers and support for Chase and our family. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family, friends and blog readers! God bless each and every one of you!!!
Praise God, praise God. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
ReplyDeleteHallelujah! This has brought tears to my eyes! Praising God with you today, Kathy! So, how was the first night home?
ReplyDeleteThis is UNBELIEVABLE. Congrats to you and your family and what an early Christmas present. ENJOY that little boy!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat news! I was keeping my fingers crossed that the reason we didn't hear much yesterday was because you were so busy getting him home. So glad to hear that was a good assumption.
ReplyDeleteGOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!! ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD!!! What an awesome God we serve!! How marvelous this news is!!! We are so excited for you, Sean, LO and Chase! Can hardly wait to read that you all are coming back home!! You are loved!!
ReplyDeleteGod is so good. Prayer indeed changes things. Thank you God. We are so excited for you, and I am so glad you will be home for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI had my suspicions yesterday, but decided to keep them to myself. What a wonderful surprise for your mom and what an awesome answer to prayer and example of God's greatness. I can't wait to see pictures of LO with her little brother!
ReplyDeleteNo words...just a tear or two!
